Build the Future of Finance
With Enable Banking & the XTM Executive Traineeship
Fintech isn’t a buzzword anymore.
It’s the infrastructure of the modern economy.
At Enable Banking, we’re the quiet engine behind that infrastructure. Founded at the dawn of Open Banking in 2019, we help ambitious companies build smarter financial products by making bank connectivity simple, secure, and scalable.
Through a single, universal API, we connect businesses to 2,600+ banks across Europe, enabling Open Banking use cases without ever accessing end-user data. We handle the complexity, so our partners can focus on building products that actually matter.
Today, we operate across 29 European countries, work with some of the most forward-thinking players in fintech and banking, and are known for one thing above all: secure, privacy-first connectivity that just works.
2025 was our year of profitability.
2026 is our year of scale.
And that’s where you come in.
Why Students Choose Enable Banking
We don’t believe in busywork.
And we definitely don’t believe in “just observing”.
At Enable Banking, executive trainees are treated like what they are: future leaders. You’ll be trusted with real responsibility, meaningful projects, and direct exposure to how a fintech scales across Europe.
Privacy, security, and simplicity aren’t slogans here. They’re how we operate, how we build, and how we make decisions. If you’re curious about how a privacy-first fintech actually grows, this is the place to learn.
The XTM Traineeship at Enable Banking
Not a Shadowing Gig. A Front-Row Seat.
This executive traineeship is designed to be hands-on from day one.
You’ll own your own projects, supported by smaller tasks that give you context, perspective, and momentum. You’ll see how ideas turn into action, how strategy becomes execution, and how a startup moves toward market leadership.
Your work will sit at the intersection of marketing, sales, strategy, and growth, giving you a rare, holistic view of how a modern fintech operates.
No coffee-fetching.
No passive observing.
We believe in learning by doing.
What You’ll Actually Work On
Enable Banking isn’t a “traditional marketing” company, and this isn’t a traditional traineeship.
Your projects may include:
🚀 Sales-Focused Marketing & Outreach: Learn how marketing and sales work together to generate leads, engage decision-makers, and drive growth.
🌱 Growth & Brand Projects: Help shape how Enable Banking shows up in the world, from website improvements to campaigns, content, and positioning.
🤖 Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO): Work at the frontier of how companies are discovered through AI. You’ll help ensure that when people ask ChatGPT, Gemini, or Perplexity about Open Banking providers, Enable Banking is part of the answer.
📊 Data & Analytics: Track and interpret performance metrics to understand what works, what doesn’t, and why.
🔍 Research & Insights: Explore market trends, customer behaviour, and competitive dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
🎯 Project Ownership: Own initiatives end-to-end, with real accountability and visible outcomes.
✍️ High-Impact Content: Help structure our digital presence for clarity, authority, and relevance for both humans and AI systems.
What We Look For
You’ll thrive in this role if you:
Are proactive, curious, and comfortable figuring things out as you go
Enjoy turning abstract ideas into concrete results
Like solving problems creatively and independently
Want to understand how a company actually scales, not just how it looks on LinkedIn
Communicate clearly, collaborate easily, and take ownership of your work
You don’t need to be a fintech expert yet.
We care more about trajectory than credentials.
Curiosity, ambition, and willingness to learn matter more than what you already know.

From XTM to What’s Next
Hear From Our Former Trainees
“This was my first exposure to the fintech environment and open banking. At the start of the internship, I felt unsure, but from day one, I received endless support from team members across borders and worked in a dynamic environment that put me at the centre of fintech and open banking development across Europe. The experience offered a steep learning curve, and I left Enable Banking with stronger skills, deeper knowledge of financial systems, greater confidence, and lasting connections.”
– Nana Kajaia, 2025 XTM Trainee, Enable Banking
“I really appreciated how hands-on the XTM traineeship at Enable Banking was. The startup environment gave me exposure to many parts of the business and the chance to make a real impact. Working closely with the CMO and CCO helped me develop both my sales and marketing skills, while taking on a wide range of tasks. Some days I analysed the impact of EU regulations on the industry; other days I joined customer meetings or helped prepare pitches for networking events. The mix of analytical work and creative, communication-driven tasks made my time at Enable Banking both engaging and rewarding.”
– Vendela Lyth Bolt, now Audit Associate at PWC
We shaped each traineeship together with the student, aligning XTM goals with real business needs. The result was a program that helped trainees grow fast, build confidence, and leave with experience that actually matters.
And yes, we genuinely loved having them.
